Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Systemic Therapy worth it?

Systemic Therapy is the result of applying Systems Theory to human thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Patterned processes exist in all ecologies across all systems, and is found throughout all fields of science. This is taking the “rocket science” approach to mental health, identifying objective patterns within patterns of relating based on holistic context and adaptive neurology, then mapping the entire macro/micro process for you to see in real time. I’m not your typical “therapist”, and this isn’t your typical “talk therapy”. This is pioneering science being applied to your problem, and it never gets old to see “sense making” come to life in every session.

Do you accept insurance?

The short answer is at the moment “yes”. However, PhD’s aren’t cheap and insurance really makes it difficult to pay bills. So for now I’ve allowed for a limited amount of clients per week to utilize their insurance through Headway.
Note: these sessions must be Online, will require an individual diagnosis, and does will not cover Couples/Marriage & Family Therapy.

There is a diagnostic code for problematic relationships (Z-63.0 among others). However, insurance typically does not consider relationship problems medically necessary. Every insurance company is different, so You should call them and ask if they’ll cover a Z63 diagnosis.

Why should I try Remote (Online) Therapy?

We’ve come a long way since the pandemic and Remote (Online) Therapy is becoming the new standard over time. This affords new benefits related to flexible scheduling, reducing travel time/costs, while still receiving a premium service.
This is especially true for Systemic Therapy, as I am well equipped to direct our therapeutic focus toward mapping patterns within patterns, and will utilize the Whiteboard within the HIPAA compliant version Zoom to showcase how macro/micro processes are keeping you stuck where you’re at. These whiteboard documents can then be uploaded into your client file for personal review to keep you on track for successful change.

How long have you been married?

As of 2026, I’m happily married for 18 years. Some of those years were really difficult, and I personally know what its like to suffer in a problem that keeps happening no matter how much you try to fix it. In the end it wasn’t me or her, it was our missing framework that maintained our perception of self and the other. This journey is directly tied to my passion and expertise. All things considered, with how much I’ve grown and how many others I’ve helped, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
